Billion Dollar Company Gives Their Two Cents
Aug 16th, 2007 by Shaun Carter
Alticor’s media blog has just posted a whopper. This article is condescending to the journalists that they are writing to by opening the entry with “Reporter friends,”. The entry is full of condescending remarks to the news media as well as continuing to attack the TEAM organization. If Alticor is a multi-billion dollar company, why are they resorting to such tactics and condescension on a corporate sponsored official blog.
While I realize there are two sides to every story, the behavior of Quixtar in this matter is not that of a company of it’s size and perceived stature as the leader in the network marketing industry. Both of these organizations are behaving in a cheap manner, but Alticor is the bigger, more prominent business and should act like it. The last sentence in the entry is in reference to the TEAM’s hired legal team:
“Whatever they tell you about anything else⦠well, word to the wise: if they tell you the sky is blue, you might want to look out the window. “
Now that is as unprofessional as it gets, and because TEAM is being held to two restraining orders they are unable to respond to Quixtar’s newly launched offensive PR attacks. Add this to the comment made at the very end of the “Just Go, Team” entry from the same blog:
“We would say we were sorry to see Orrin Woodward go. But only if that were true.”
So, my message to Alticor is to find a better spokesperson for your company and win the PR fight with TEAM by being the more civil and professional in this situation.
